Our Antigua Guatemala is a Guatemalan coffee from smallholder farmers organized into cooperatives, which have been granted certification for sustainable farming practices. This includes forest preservation, coffee shade, and other practices that promote biodiversity. The coffees are a blend of Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra and Typica varieties grown at an altitude between 1200-1616 m. In addition to these sustainable practices, Antigua Guatemala has also been awarded the SHB certification by the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center. This coffee exhibits a dark chocolate profile with bright fruit flavors and butterscotch notes. A medium roast provides balance to the sweetness of this coffee, while adding depth in flavor.
We suggest ordering whole beans and grinding just before use, but we are also happy to grind it for you. Select espresso grind for a smoother, more European/Australian style coffee, or standard grind for a coarser more typically American style coffee, cold brew or cowboy coffee.
